...yes, you are right about Ubuntu and
others OS. But Centos 6.8 and 7, openSUSE 13.2
and PCLinux 2016, they need our sox 14.4.2, 'cause
the versions that is in their respective repos are
older.
Anyway, it you decide will be ok.

sox is being installed using package manager (i.e. "apt install sox" on
ubuntu)
I believe it is redundant to additionally save it somewhere, as well as you
anot saving all dependencies for ffmpeg for. ex.

...to have sox file is because the size is only
1.1mb, and nobody know when the storage at an url
will be finished, like happen with jodconverter and
some swftools links, about Google now.
If we can't storage them, hope every link stay ok.

@Alvaro, I was thinking we need space for VM images (with installed and
configured DB thirdparty etc.) not for 3rd party tools inself
BTW why do we need to store sox? it works for me from package manager
I guess we have place to put ISO files, now we need someone to create it
and we can
https://www.turnkeylinux.org makes there VMs around 300MB. Maybe you
can model your VMs a similar way.
Thanks,
Dan

Just had chat with INFRA
They have proposed to use bintray [1] for OM VM images
Not sure how much space is available, but we can try

Thanks for the tutorials. Helped me a lot.
Would it be possible to create some Virtual Machines with OpenMeetings
and Moodle, SugarCRM etc.
I think that would help novices get up to speed.
