Nope. It won't convert TXT, DOC or DOCX files.
You can try it your self if you like,

which are all the file types I think students would need.
According to the logs - it starts the process, but never finishes.

No need to download source code of IvyDE.
You just need to install IvyDE plugin for Eclipse
