You should stop OM before renaming
Then start after everything is done

that is what I said. ;-) Renaming is not the same as a new installation.
The version doesn't matter in this part. If you install OM on the 18.04.
and try to rename afterwords...this shouldn't work either! You need to
correct all dependencies after renaming. ;-)

Hello Rene and Stefan, the problem was that when I renamed OpenMeetings folder
in the webapps folder in /opt/open502/webapps it used to not work, but that was
with Ubuntu Server 17.04; today I made a new installation on a Virtual Machine
with Ubuntu Server 18.04 and it seems that the problem was
ved with this newer OS version

when you use Ubuntu a first idea is to set the correct path in
/etc/init.d/tomcat3.sh the variable catalina_home.
But when your OM is accessible from your browser I need more detailed
information whats not functionally - and whats your OS.
