There are some known data loss bugs related to indexing and region splits
in 4.14.0, that are fixed in later 4.14 patch releases, though those events
are generally quite noisy with WARNINGs in the logs.

However, AFAICT 4.14.1 and later dropped HBase 1.2 and CDH5 support, so I
don't think you'll find an Apache release that has those fixes and works
with your HBase version.
