Hello Usergrid team,

We were trying to scale our Usergrid Cassandra cluster - Cassandra Datastax
version 2.2.6 & Usergrid version 2.2.

We were able to successfully add a cassandra node to the cluster i.e. it
was automatically detected/discovered (showed up in OPSCENTER). But we
noted that Read-Write requests from Usergrid were NOT being routed/serviced
by the new cassandra node.

The only way we could FIX this was to update the
usergrid-deployment.properties file (add the new Cassandra IP) and restart
TOMCAT. Post RESTART the new Cassandra node became fully operational and
the Read-Write requests were being serviced by it.

Questions:
(1) Is it necessary to re-start TOMCAT when we scale the cassandra cluster?
(2) Are we missing a setting/configuration somewhere to make this happen
automatically (no restart)

Please advise.

Thanks
Jaskaran
