Serializable objects

Is there simple way to load/store HashMap in the database using the BLOB column
and iBATIS? I can think about getting BLOB as byte array and then create
HashMap from this byte array.

That is probably the easiest route..I'd think long and hard about
making that decision though, the consequences of that design are
significant.
