It seems you did not remove existing qemu-* packages ? Also if your qemu-img shows rbd support no need to replace it - what version of qemu-img are you using, how did you install it ? Stock centos version did not (up to 1-2months ago) did not support rbd, maybe it does now after redhat asquired
