Dear Abdul,
If you set mem.overprovisioning.factor != 1 in global settings, kvm agent will
set instance currentMemory half of memory in libvirt.
So you can edit /etc/cloudstack/agent/agent.properties and uncomment
"vm.memballoon.disable=true", and then restart kvm agent. When you { deploy new

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone out there is using CS to provide customers with DR
services and how? Most of the commercial products out there that might
allow us to do so involve either some sort of SAN replication or else
direct access to the hypervisor hosts. Vision Solutions have an old pro
Hi Abdul,
This was something Len and I discussed a while back but I am still seeing
strange behaviour in my current 4.3.2 test system.
What I am seeing is that Windows VMs get 4x the RAM allocated to them on the
Hypervisor (XenServer) but the OS is also reporting 4x the RAM.
Linux VMs are gett

Hi Abdul,
Are you running XenServer with Dynamic Scaling enabled on your templates?
I had this issue and the only way to fix it was to disable the "Dynamically
Scalable" option on my templates, then shut down my vms (not restart) and then
bring them up again. After that they received all of
overprovisioning of RAM by factor 2...

Hi Yuri,
To be totally honest, I've not tested upgrading XenServer once the Pool HA has
been enabled, but I would imagine you first disable the Pool HA, then proceed
with the upgrade, then re-enable HA at the end.
I would still set manage.xenserver.pool.master=false whilst upgrading the Pool

Hi Geoff
If the pool master is managed outside the cloudstack, does it mean that there

Will it just be enough to unmanage the cluster in cloudstack , disable the

We had a similar problem before. It turned out to be a unsupported combination
of cloudstack + xenserver (we did run 4.2.1 with xenserver 6.2 sp1) . Please
check you have all required patches applied on the Xen box.

Hello all,
It seems there are no major differences at XAPI toolstack at XS 6.5
that uses CS to work with XenServer. Shouldn’t it be possible to use newely

Can you be lenient with the 72 hour schedule on this one? I don't
