As another heads up, I am going through all ald PRs at the moment and
updating or closing them, so as for PRs it should not have any effect

you can take the lead on chasing deadlines, setting timelines and calling
for freeze/rc etc. Any PMC/committer can assist you with the boring stuff

I am not a committer, so I am not sure if I can manage a release myself.

Did you try this @sptest232 : If the vm is still running on the kvm host , you
can use virsh command to shutdown or destroy the instance, and restart
cloudstack-agent.
