df-1.4 - pcmcia daemon?

Hi, I have an old laptop. I just installed df-1.4 on it but I can't found the deamon that watches for card insertion and removal (something like pccardd). The laptop is a TP600, the kernel seems to recognize the pc-card bus. petrasl.
