I'm willing to go with that explanation, lacking a better one. ;-)
However, in vi I would have had to accidentally type the sequence g~~,
which doesn't seem likely.

I attempted to build without debugging support, however I couldnt get a
build pc32 or pc64. For any meaningfull benchmarking tests debugging needs
to be disabled. On both the current version and the system you are
benchmarking against.
Will do some work on this at some point.
