Can you explain more about why you think the first link is not good for
FlexJS? I took a quick glance and it looked ok to me if you use the
FlexJS HTTPService instead of URLLoader.

An option could be to do the communication via PHP (
https://github.com/Happyr/LinkedIn-API-client) and create your own PHP
service to pass the data
