Hi Alex, Are you on Mac or Windows? If on Mac try to use installer to download Apache Flex [1]. If on Windows there is issue with downloading SDK which I'm working on, so workaround on download SDK + Adobe Air I have provided here [2] [1] https://flex.apache.org/installer.html [2]

I have just started to move an Adobe Flex 4.6.0 to Apache Flex, but cannot get mx:VDividedBox or mx:DividedBox to be recognized. I built the sdk by unzipping the Apache Flex 4.16.1 SDK, and then overlaying the AIR 27 SDK. Is there something I am missing? http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009;

Hi Jeff, for IDEs, if a part from flex you have backend code (maybe Java?) my recommendation is to switch to IntelliJ IDEA since the Java/Flex support is very professional. We switched many years ago from Flash Builder since it supports as well maven with flex. I think it was a great decision

Jeff, There are two actively developed IDEs. Visual Studio Code + Plugin [1] and Moonshine IDE [2]. Both worth to check. If you have any problems with them - feel free raise an issue on GitHub. [1] https://nextgenactionscript.com/ [2] http://moonshine-ide.com/ Thanks, Piotr 2018-04-09 18:46

Hi Piotr, I didn't mean to direct any ire to the team, I do know it's volunteer-only and believe me, I appreciate your offer to look at the installer. I'm also very thankful for the work that the open source community has done to help the Flex SDK stay alive. I'm also watching the Royale

Hi Jeff, We are all volunteers, so fixing things does require some time. I'm working on that and hope to find out some solution. If not I will probably post some finding on Development list. Will see what happen after brainstorming. Thanks for the input, Piotr 2018-04-09 17:38 GMT+02:00 Jeff

At my organization, we've used Flex for probably 10 years now and we have what I think may be one of the largest Flex codebases (over 200k lines of source). We went to onboard a new developer last week and it was quite a disappointment for me. Flex Builder 4.6 will no longer install, Adobe

OSMF is used for the Video components. We can make it optional, but IMO, that wouldn't solve the problem. When folks accept the option to install OSMF it will likely fail the same way. IIRC, we've fixed this at least once already. SourceForge seems to change the rules on who can fetch a
