Hi :)
Thanks for those links. Some useful information that does indeed contradict
what i have previously heard about Base. It makes me wonder about the accuracy
of other information i have seen about Base in a variety of places. No, of
course i am not going to name names or divulge sources
Hi Tom,
When there have been posts about this or that in Base, generally there
have been quite a few people who have participated. It may be used more
than most people realize. Shortly after Base became a part of
OpenOffice, I converted, successfully, all of my data from Paradox to
Base. If

Maybe it's the version, mine is 3.3.1, not 3.4...
I do have it in the 331 user profile:
~/.libreoffice/331rc2/user/registrymodifications.xcu
Maybe the distribution you use?
In any case, I don't think it will help you that much with your initial

Just downloaded and installed 2011-09-22
Good news: it finally uninstalls cleanly without leaving any leftovers
Bad news: the menu links don't show any icons and all fail to execute with a
MS C++ error message.
I had the same result on two different Win XP Pro SP3 En_US

With LibO 3.3.4, assigning shortcut keys to special characters is not working.
I record the macros, no problem, but after assigning the keys (e.g. ALT+a
= á) when the shortcut is utilised the TABLE menu drops down. My first
download was LibO 3.4 and when the shortcut assigning didn't work
I had the same need. While customizing the program I went into TOOLS,
OPTIONS, GENERAL and a few other locations and adjusted a few tabs, not
specific to window maximising, but now my program opens with maximised
window. I have no idea which part of what I clicked and unclicked did the
trick

Hi
What do I need to do for LibO to accept the shortcut keys, please?
An alternative is to ignore the LO settings and just use the native
operating system special keys. These then apply to ALL apps, not just LO.
If you are under Linux they are called the Compose sequences:
