Hi :)
Ouch! Sorry!
So i guess you have gone back to the 3.5.6 (which does work) since you already
had the installer for it? I think that has given you a useful comment to add
to the bug-report. Is there already a bug-report? If not can you post a new
one?
It's not the downtime but rather all the work that's open that I have to
keep track of, decide how to save and then close. It's hard to explain
but given I work 3-4 different jobs at once and am working on new tools
that I don't know very well yet, I'm always reluctant to reboot.

Ahh, yes. I don't know why i assumed you were using Windows. It's a lot
easier to reboot Windows because you can't open so many programs at the same
time so there is lot less to keep track of. Also with Mac i think updates
and even installing stuff seldom demands a reboot?

I think an office suite should be stable.
So, I think to emphasize the importance of quality assurance is vital.
May I suggest adding a step checking if the office suite starts properly?
LibreOffice should support most hardware and software configurations.
If it does not start in one case,

Thanks Brian. Both of those options work.
And, thanks for reminding me about inches vs. feet (that is what I get for

Hi :)
I am really impressed that people are already taking part. Nicely done Paolo!
It should be fun and will be good. Lets try to get the 4.0.0 ultra stable
earlier in it's cycle so we can use and roll it out sooner. I hope to
test-drive it a bit on 3 different types of machines and on

Yes, the '03 worked and I enjoyed using that for that reason;
I can no longer use it because MSFT only allows a certain
number of computers - so when the HD died on the last one, so did my access
to '03 ???
Obviously, MSFT knows that computers' HDs die so why is there
