Back in the oldey-timey days of Office 97, MS-Office also supported
versions within the .doc files. They stopped doing this because they
wanted to push the MUCH more expensive Sharepoint which also stores
versions. But

documents. Libreoffice supports standard PIV smart cards (at least under
Linux). If you have everything configured right, you can use an x509 that
is resident on the smart card to sign the document. This can provide much
And yet somehow, WordPerfect and Lotus 123 only took up 2mb of my 10mb hard
disk (that was 1990)...

I'm on the extreme side of safe-data paranoia. :) For my documents,
photos, and source code (basically stuff I create):
Hello-
Is it possible to either have a small (less than 50 records) database
in a Writer document, or embed an ODB database right in the document
(instead of having it be in an external file)?
I have a document that has two different views of the same data.

to get this to work is by embedding the script into the ODS or ODT
file itself. Try this: unzip an ODS file. Create a directory called

I'm wondering if someone can please take a look at the attached sheet.
Specifically, columns B and C. Note that the named range
"ExpensesPlanned" is B9-B42; "ExpensesActual" is C9-C42. On line 45,
there are totals for the named ranges. However, for some reason, any

Hello,
I'm using LO 5.4.0.2 on Linux, and I have some weird spreadsheet behavior.
On one of my spreadsheets, I have a named range. Then I have a cell
below it with the formula =SUM(NamedRange). The cell only picks up
some of the values! There are 33 rows in this range. If I put a 1 in
all of
