Hello,

I created a rather simple presentation in OpenOffice 3.3, and when I
exported it as PPT, when I tried to play the file with Microsoft Powerpoint
player, it said 'the file is corrupted' (I do not have MS Office myself).

When I re-exported from OO 3.1.1, it exported the file but some fonts were
badly damaged
(probably some translation from Arial to Symbol/Greek).

The same problem (of corrupted PPT file) happened with LO 3.3.2.
Because I want to redistribute the document as PPT, it is important to have
a correct PPT file.

I suspect that the bug was introduced between OO 3.1 and OO 3.3.
My impression is that the mess has something to do with master pages (I was
experimenting with different master pages before I proceed with the
presentation).

The ODP file is uploaded in
http://www.mediafire.com/file/uu7kxdteqersqvv/EEDE_version2.odp , so you can
see for yourself the problems.

(maybe a validating parser for PPT files is necessary? I think that the
format is now publicly documented)

I would appreciate any suggestions, and maybe these problems will be
resolved in the next edition.

Regards,
Nick Fotis
