I've seen that certain bugs or issues appear in LibreOffice versions that
before didn't exist. Why ?
I understand that when the programers working in new version "touch" the
code in other parts and get a new bug. I think is very dificult not occur this.
How we can help
I have a lady who use to send out complex .docx files, via email, to
people in a transportation advisory group. I had a long talk with
her, via emails, about the incompatibilities of MSO with their older
versions. Now, most times, she sends the documents that are not to be
edited as PDF

Earlier versions of the docX implementation don't always work on more
recent versions of MS Office. Doc does but DocX doesn't always.

Just to continue off of previous statements - Microsoft changes the
.docx and .xlsx format so frequently that I've heard
Due to MSO's change of file formats, I always suggest the users of MSO
use the pre-MSO2007 formats. That way everyone who needs to access
those files will not have any issues. A .doc file will display
correctly with MSO 2007 through 2013, but a MSO 2013 may not display
correctly in MSO

Backwards incompatibilities are fairly understandable. New features
added between 2007 and 2013 are unlikely to be able to be seen in
2007. That kinda makes sense to me.
What doesn't make sense is how often files created using MS Office
