I was able to construct a document that consistently produces the bug. My report is at the link below:

Merry Christmas.

Maybe next time I will do a better job of following my instincts.

The issue was: I have a spreadsheet wherein I track income and expenses, like a checkbook register. Each month I create a new sheet and link the first line of the new to the last line of the previous month. With the software upgrade it started picking up an extraneous deposit. It did this on the prior sheet, not the new sheet. The bug is that adding a new blank sheet should change nothing on an already used sheet.

While trying to create a new sample spreadsheet to do a bug report with I lost a critical document and can no longer experience the issue. I while researching i resisted a mental urging to backup the intermediate buggy document and managed to lose the bug. :-( .

I will watch for a possible reoccurence. If I have it I will do a better job of trapping an example for the bug report. Without a working example I am not sure if I should report a bug.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I use Ubuntu 17.10 64bit and LibreOffice 5.4.4.2. I had not seen this on any prior LibreOffice.
