Andreas, Thanks a lot, the install did the trick. One short follow-up: The name of the executable seems to have changed: desktop:~/Documents$ lowriter The program 'lowriter' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install libreoffice-writer What's it called now
