(*.doc), but used paragraph styles to maintain uniformity of style and

style, and it should have changed the color for each of the headings of
that style. Unfortunately, modifying the paragraph style did not change
even the particular paragraph the cursor was on, let alone the other
headings of the same style.
I experienced the same with my old .doc files. At first I struggled to
get things as I want hem. Nowadays I do not even start this struggle.
When a document must be edited thoroughly, I put the original text into
a new empty document with control-shift-v (without any formatting) and
do all formatting again. This is less frustrating. When I need to save
as a MS format I do this, but never lose the original .odt format. I now
never even edit the .doc files I made this way myself, but use the .odt
document for all editing.
