I was on here earlier, as you may recall, with difficulties getting
libreoffice to run on amd64 debian/lenny.
Libreoffice was looking for libcairo.so.2 in
/opt/libreoffice/basis3.3/program, instead of /usr/lib, where it was.
So I copied the lib to
I was wondering where the hash is for the downloads. I have grown
accustomed to verifying the hash with all the software that I choose to
install on my system. Thanks

Hi Peter,
I have just joined this list and therefore only today found your post. If
you have resolved this by now then please accept my apologies.
I too use openSUSE 11.3 64bit with KDE 4.5.5 and recently 4.6RC2. The
openclipart rpms provided for OpenOffice are still valid. I have a large

Can anyone clarify the situation regarding the operation of the quickstarter
under KDE?
I have a dual boot system running openSUSE 11.3 64bit and Vista 32Bit. In
Vista with Libreoffice 3.3 RC3 the quickstarter is enabled and a system tray
icon is visible allowing access to each of

Hi Fabián,
Thanks for the quick response. The information you provided is interesting
and I thank you for that.
However I am still trying to find the answer to the main question.
Under KDE I do not get the quickstarter icon in the system tray, however it
does appear in Vista. As I find it
libreoffice only installs /usr/bin/libreoffice. The old behavior were to
use a command for each part: sbase, scalc, sdraw, simpress, smath, swriter.
Then I have found those scripts in /opt/libreoffice/program/.
Would it not a better idea to install these scripts into /usr/bin/ ?
What is your

Hi Marc,
Thanks for confirming that it's in Mandriva. Could you let me know is there
is a shortcut to the application within KDE. Perhaps I have a shortcut
missing that I could then create to get it showing in openSUSE.
Best regards

I was running rc1 on Windows 7 with no problem. However both rc2 and rc3
crash during launch giving an error: The application cannot be
started. [context=user] caught unexpected exception! . There's a bug
report (32133) from early December, but no action on it.
I've installed for All Users and it worked fine.

Did you install for a single user or all users?
