[libreoffice-users] A certain broken document with text as curves

2012-12-09 Thread artem_d
In some document, i've converted some of the text into curves to avoid
certain troubles with some text effects. After a few saves and loads the
curves got broken as shown below.

sample.odp

I wonder if it's possible to somehow automatically rescue the document (i'll
attach a full version if it's possible), and also to make sure this doesn't
happen.

Hi,

No problem with LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 in Ubuntu 12.10.

I couldn't find a bug report link on LibreOffice.org so I'm sending it
here.

Steps to reproduce:

Navigate to a folder in the Finder that has more than 1 .odt file.
Select two .odt files.
Open them (Command + O).

Expected outcome:
LibreOffice should open both documents.

Actual outcome:
LibreOffice puts up an error dialog with the following message:
/path/to/document1.odt /path/to/document2.odt does not exist.

It seems LibreOffice does not correctly handle opening multiple documents
at once, treating both filenames as one filename (to a file that does not
exist).

It does not matter if LibreOffice is running or not. Opening one document
at a time works as expected, it's only multiple documents that fails. I'm
not sure if this affects older versions. I may not have attempted to open
multiple documents until today.

Just for the record, I have no difficulty performing the operation
described above using the Swedish version of LibreOffice 3.6.0.1 on 64-bit
Ubuntu 12.04

Actually, it is a problem when a stack of envelopes are being printed,
as the pressure bars are arranged to confine the stack on the RIGHT-hand
side of the printer feed tray.

[libreoffice-users] LO 3,5,5,3: Odd miror-image landscape diff with LO 3.4.5

2012-12-09 Thread Maurice Batey
I have a 'long-envelope' file that I use fpr printing out envelopes with
my address on the left and an addressee box on the right.

Using LO 3.4.5 under Mandriva 2010.2 I insert the blank envelope on the
RIGHT-hand side of the printer (HP5150) paper feed. Works fine.

Using LO 3.5.5.3 under Mageia-2 and the same envelope file, I have to
insert the blank envelope on the LEFT-hand side of the same printer's
paper feed.

Not a problem, but can anyone suggest an explanation for the
difference, please?
