Thuderbird does all you say, what's the problem?

I dont' know iPot obviously but thunderbird has calendar, notes, tasks, 
contacts and all can works on XP and sync with many device.

I noticed there are some other source files and some 3rd-party code in the 
package that I did not take time to investigate, and it takes Gcc to build 
it.  But one of the big ideas of Java is that it contains its own gui code,

does not use the standard Java gui.

platforms.


I don't however foresee myself invoking the gui unless I'm working off 
of Windows or something.

format. Is it a list, spreadsheet, access, or database back end like MySQL.

In LibreOffice Writer go to Tools->Options

Click on the Java section and then tick the box marked 'Use a Java
runtime environment' and select the one you want to use from the list below.

Click on OK and you should be done. You may need to restart Libreoffice
writer for this to take effect.

In LibreOffice Writer go to Tools->Options

I have been unable to prepare labels from my mailing list (database).  I
want to prepare sheets with  a different address on each label. I am able
to set up for the Avery labels I use.  I get a message "LO requires a JRE
to perform this task.  Please install a JRE and restart LO."  I have
installed Java several times, but still get this message.  Secondly,  when
I insert the fields - name, street town - there is no transfer from the
database.

I do hope some one can walk me through this. Many thanks.

[libreoffice-users] Calc does not remember formatting

All,

I am using LO 4.0.2.2 on Windows 7.

In Calc when I format cells so that negative numbers are red 
they won't be red next time I open the spreadsheet. The only 
way to make them red again is to recalculate those cells. Of 
course, when I save and re-open the spreadsheet the 
formatting is gone again.
