Re: [libreoffice-users] Re: how to reformat this?
Hi, Instead of using text marks, you can also do the search and replace and after place your cursor where you want the line breaks to be and type Enter. This will cut the line without inserting an end of paragraph. Rémy. Re: [libreoffice-users] Adding events into a libreoffice calc graphic
Hi, I never was able to mix text and numbers on a single graph, so placing the event as part of the data may not work. There is a workaround, though. Plot your data points without placing the event text in the data, but a corresponding event value (or some acceptable in-between value). Then, go to edit the graph (right click > Edit), and then click twice (not double click: click once, count 1 sec, then click again) on the datapoint where you want to place the event text. After the two- click, the data point should have a set of green dots around it showing it has been selected. Right click on it, and then select "Insert single data label". The value of the data label will now be shown. Then right click again and select "Format single data label...". Go to the Data Labels tab and check the "Show value as Number" box; then click on the "Number format..." button. In the Format code box, place the name of the event in quotes (like "Event name") and click the green check button. Then OK, and OK again. Your data point should now have a label saying Even name. You can then do this for all event-related data points. I hope this helps. Rémy. Re: [libreoffice-users] Transparency in Write
Hi, Right, so just tried this with 6.1.4.2 and it seem that from the dialog box the transparency setting is being ignored. On an upside, if instead I use the Transparency setting in the Sidebar Image page that is working fine. BTW also checked 6.2 (Ubuntu) and same thing. Not sure if there is an existing issue open on that, will look. [libreoffice-users] Transparency in Write
Hi, I remember many years ago, with LO 3.3, you could import an image, and adjust its transparency, so that it was like a watermark, showing behind other text or graphics. Now I'm using 6.1.4.2 and I insert the image, go to Format, Select Image, Select Properties, then select Transparency - Nothing happens. I checked the version 6 documentation and I could not find anything else. What's wrong? [libreoffice-users] Adding events into a libreoffice calc graphic
Hi everybody, and thank you for the support, I've looked arround for an answer for a few hours without success. We're talking about LibreOffice Calc: What i'm about to do is a data table with two columns: "date" and "numeric data". After that i would insert a graphic in the spreadsheet ("insert" - "graphic"). And for now no problems. Now i have to add some non-numeric "events" to the graphic. For example: 10/3/2019 - 225 15/3/2019 - event 20/3/2019 - 353 22/3/2019 - 50 and so on... Now it happens that in the graphic the line that connects all the points breaks at 15/3/2019 and starts again at 20/3/2019. I would like to add this information in the graphic with a line that points to the right point on the graphic. Is it possible or i am dreaming? -- Sent from: http://document-foundation-mail-archive.969070.n3.nabble.com/Users-f1639498.html -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
Re: [libreoffice-users] Transparency in Write
Hi, I am using 6.2.1 and, like you, Format > Image > Properties > Transparency does nothing to the picture. However, if you go on the side pane, select the properties and play with the Image (not area) transparency there, it works fine. Note that Format > Image > Properties > Transparency brings you to Area Transparency mode (can't quite figure out what it does) which is also available on the side pane as the first selection (Image being the second one). I hope this helps. Rémy.
