I'm sure you'll be able to analyse the formula =VLOOKUP(A1;C$1:D$9;2)

Hi All
I have now completed my new Database.
I have set-up a new MySQL Database, imported all my CSV data from my old
Database, Connected LO Base to this and designed my 'User Form'.
Everything is working fine _EXCEPT_ my 'User Form' seems to be stuck in
'Read Only' mode as I can not work

The usual reason for Base being in read only mode is not having
defined a primary key for your tables.

Problems?
I too hadn't realized the value of the last parameter being 1 (meaning
it takes the next number below). I had trouble getting the formula to
work until I realized I had pasted the array from the email and some of
the numbers were formatted as text, others not, so I was getting almost

I think you are right!! I DON'T see a Primary Key!! (I'm sure I DID set it!!)
BUT - If I try to set it in Base it does not accept the setting.
If I try in MyAdmin to set my first column (RecordID) as Primary I get

Hi Mark, Ian,

What is stopping me setting the key or how do I get round this??!!
What is stopping the key being defined is probably the existence of data
in the table for the PRI field (autoincrement by any chance ?). You

Another problem I have with LO (ver. 4.0.1.2) is that when I try to print a booklet -
let's say a 4 page A5 booklet - on A4 it prints pages 1 and 4 in landscape across
the portrait-oriented A4 page rather than along it. Pages 2 and 3 are similarly affected.

Hi everyone,
I just downloaded libreoffice 4 and installed it on a Mac (Lion) and Linux
(Ubuntu). On the Mac, everything works exactly as I expected, and I can
easily convert documents to pdfs using the command line tool like this:
/Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice --headless
It was not a matter of preferences. It was because calc could not open a
.XLS file. On further investigation it was found that it is not an XLS
file hence the problem
Cheers
