Text isn't (just) a format: it's a separate data type. You can
format cells as number or text, but that doesn't change what's stored

Hi :)
Ahhh, a classic! Is it Windows perchance?
If so then it might be a good idea to run defrags until the defrag
process becomes reasonably fast. First time typically takes hours if
it's not been done before but mere minutes if it's done 1/month or
1/week on machines that have a lot of file

It's worth mentioning that this is a misunderstanding of what is

Yes there is!
Sorry, but that's simply untrue - and you can easily show it.

Hi :)
Nicely done! :) It's good to see it stirred up a bit of debate and
interesting to hear the bug-squad (or whatever they are called here)
had just recently discussed the issue.
I tend to agree that i think people should register with the

When i tried to open that file i only got the regular tool-bars and panels.
At least i think i got just the standard ones. I've sent e-letter a

Hi
I've now tried to install this program twice. First time I downloaded the main
msi and attempted installation. Got a message part way though to say the
download was corrupt.
So I downloaded again and tried to install. Same problem.
I therefore have to conclude that you have a problem
Sounds simple enough (and useful) to me, and I'm not sure I agree with
e-letter's objection above,
Instead of the current theoretical maximum of 2000 page to search for a
rarely used glyph, whose position is known, you'd have to search through
25000 pages for a glyph whose position is both

I you do this, the content of the cell will be '1234 and the cell
will display the text 1234 as a result.

Ok, I can't seem to refute this, because it would work exactly the same
was as what I and Brian described works. The only difference would be
in the internal representation of the cell contents, and I am not about
to go diving into the code to check that out.
Either way you think of it you will

Hi :)
Can you defrag? Sometimes after installing something it's not very
streamlined and a defrag sorts it out a bit.
However i think it's more likely to be the memory settings. if you

I have two ideas.
1. Highlight the categories, so it is easy to tell where the category starts
and ends.
2. Allow some input box so you could type some substring of the characters'
names and get
all matching characters. For example, if you typed equal, all characters
