[libreoffice-users] =COUNTIF(F16:X21;"8a")+1 - Error:509 ?

2015-08-31 Thread csanyipal
Hello,

I have installed LO 5.0.0.5, Gentoo official package.
I have setup LINGUAS to hu: hu-HU (hu_HU.utf8).

In one of my old Calc sheet, I have function
=COUNTIF(F16:X21;"8a")+1
In previous LO version this was without error, but now it shows me this
error. Why?

Now, If I remove the '+1' from the end of function, it is OK, but then I get
not the value which I want.
Now, how can I increase with '1' the value of the function:
=COUNTIF(F16:X21;"8a")

Re: [libreoffice-users] =COUNTIF(F16:X21;"8a")+1 - Error:509 ?

2015-08-31 Thread Kolbjørn Stuestøl

I tried it using 5.0.1.2 on windows 7. Local set to Norwegian nynorsk (nn).

Set A1= 1a, A2=2a ... A8=8a and B1=1b, B2=2b ... B8=8b.

=COUNTIF(A1:B8;"8a")+1 returned 2 as espected.

Perhaps an error in version 5.0.0.5. In that case it does not matter as it
works fine in 5.1.
So perhaps the solution is to upgrade to 5.1?

Re: [libreoffice-users] Command-line PDF-export options ("soffice --convert-to pdf") ?

2015-08-31 Thread Stephan Bergmann

On 08/30/2015 09:06 PM, Aurelius Octavian wrote:

With UNO it's possible to set the PDF-Export's filter options before
doing the actual PDF export, like for example set "PDF/1a" format, "No

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/API/Tutorials/PDF_export#General_properties

How to do the same thing with Libreoffice being called from the
command-line with the parameter "--convert-to pdf" ? The "--help"
message says:

--convert-to pdf:writer_pdf_Export[:output_filter_options]

Unfortunately, I don't find these mentioned ":output_filter_options".
Does anybody know them?

Those filter option arguments got added as a fix for
 "CLI:
Encoding issue when Converting documents: esp. UTF-8 in headless mode."
However, their usage is rather awkward, as you need to have intimate
knowledge about the individual filters' arguments, and how each filter's
code expects those arguments to be encoded as a string. See comment
 for an
example for Calc's CSV filter.

If I knew C++ in large projects better, I would dare to look at
Libreoffice's source-code (and I did so), but it's very Greek to me.

I fear there's no way around somebody interested in this topic picking
this up, reading the source code and writing documentation for the
various filters what the filter option strings should look like.

[libreoffice-users] Bugs

2015-08-31 Thread RODRIGUEZ FONSECA JORGE ALBERTO
Hi everybody:

I've seen that certain bugs or issues appear in LibreOffice versions that
before didn't exist. Why ?

I understand that when the programers working in new version "touch" the
code in other parts and get a new bug. I think is very dificult not occur this.

How we can help with this ?

We, the users can make one example to each topic of the menu of LibreOffice
can do. Then when coming new version before out we can probe each example
during one week and make a report to programers. With this reports, just
following the menu, they can fix the bugs that apear before freeing the new
version.

The other way is to make a macro to probe each topic of the menu to do it
automatically.

Regards,

Jorge Rodríguez

It is already there.

LibreOffice "Regression Testing," both automated and manual, is continual
and ongoing:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Testing/Regression_Tests

Individuals, please note that the LibreOffice project runs a MozTrap based
test suite for performing exactly this manual testing--with guided test
cases--but it is woefully underutilized by the broader user community. If
you are interested, check it out:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/MozTrap/User_Guide
http://manual-test.libreoffice.org/results/runs/?

The learning curve is a little steep for folks to get registered and get a
test case open, but is worth the effort as the results ARE reviewed and
integrated into the QA process. The Engineering Steering Committee reviews
results bi-weekly.
