If you want to work with the xml, copy your document and rename it

privileges, I copied my templates to the template path in
my installed LO folder. Sure enough, LO lists them by folders when I
click Templates in the LO Splash Screen.
Strange behavior, and not a pleasant thought for people who use
quite a few templates.

spreadsheet. Neither fields, views, nor tables can be created, modified,
or deleted. All of these types of changes must be done in the
spreadsheet.
