Hi Stuart.

Thank you for the attention paid to my suggestion for improvement. (nothing
new, of course, but expected).

I've been looking for the way to automatically format the references
included in the files of LibreOffice and that task is complicated when we
need to submit references in some specific format.

The database for bibliographies that we currently have int LibO is a great
help for the organization of the this  information, but if we could count
on an automatic way to format the references of these bibliographies
according to specific standards with only select a preset style of
footnote/endnote we would be enhancing the LibreOffice
capabilities, because we could present the same bibliographic reference for
different types of reports according to the required standard by only
selecting the corresponding style.

About the extension:  What does not attract me it is that  the extension
compels me to use another software out of LibO, and I believe that LibO is
too good to need a third party to carry out a task as simple as the format
to an information which we have in a database made with LibO.

[libreoffice-users] [Enhancement] writer: Footnote / Endnote Styles according to standards

It would be helpful to have preconfigured Footenote/Endnote styles, as part
of the styles options.

Within the *Styles* menu we could have a new submenu titled
*Footnote/Endnote*.

The basic idea is to have inside this submenu preconfigured footnote/endnote
styles according to the styles most used in professional, academic,
scientific, technical or artistic  reports, among them:

*APA
CHICAGO
MLA
Turabian
ISO 690
IEEE
Harvard-Anglian
GOST*

[libreoffice-users] Trouble saving from .ODS to .XLS(X)

Hi: 

The next file is an .ODS file:
Spreadsheet_from_LibO.ods

when I save it to .XLS(X) file format it grows ten times the file size,
compared to the same file type saved with MSO:

   older 1.0 (even ignoring the 1.1) and somehow that led to Ods
 appearing
  to
   open just fine but all the formulas got replaced by fixed values.
 Their
   apparent failure somehow led to people saying that everyone else made
  bad
   spreadsheet programs and everyone should stick with MS.
  
  
   So it is well worth avoiding XlsX and it is probably best to use
 their
   older Xls format instead - at least if you want to open the
 spreadsheet
  on
   any machine other than the one with MS Office 2013 on.

Hi:

I've experienced the following issue:

The file attached is an .ODS file (1,976 KB).  When seved as  .XLSX file it
expands to more than 15 MB.

If the new .XLSX files is oppened with MSOffice 2013 it will ask for
recovery of information within the file,  after that if we save the
recovered file to the same file type (.XLSX) the file shrinks to 2,393KB.

Why?
