Hello, I'd like to use LibreOffice calc as a tool for some geometry calculations. It would be great, if the calculated values could be passed to some visualisation polugin that would render a picture. For example, coordinates of three points (x, y) are calculated, and a triangle in cartesian coordinate system is drawn. Of course, the picture should update itself, whenever the input values are changed.
I imagine the perfect scenario: a web browser plugin, that can render any dhtml/svg content. You can put an object (rectangular frame) in your spreadsheet and link a set of values that are passed as references to number of spreadsheet cells. Those values are then passed to a JavaScript function (event handler) in the html file that is loaded in the plugin window (perhaps the source file can be selected in plugin properties), and this event function is called whenever any of the input values changes. The function then can do all the scripting necessary to reflect the needed output. In my case, that would be drawing a triangle with SVG. Is anything like this available already, or perhaps this could be an idea to develop? Seems like powerful stuff to me...
