[libreoffice-users] Writer input fiels for form letter?
How can fields be added to a Writer document so that the field prompts for the data? For example, imagine a business letter like this: (when cursor over field, it says "Enter the desired date") (When cursor over field, it says "Enter the name of the recipient") Re: (When cursor over field, it says "Enter the subject of the letter") Encl: (When the cursor over field, it says "Enter the number of enclosures") Thanks, Dave Sent with [Proton Mail](https://proton.me/) secure email. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
Re: [libreoffice-users] Fw: Potential bug printing blank Writer tables
The version is 7.5.2. Normally, when I post a question, get a copy of my post. That did not happen, so I assumed something went wrong. [libreoffice-users] Potential bug printing blank Writer tables
A form was created using Writer tables, double spaced. Printing of the borders was very inconsistent - some too light to even see, a few ok, with most in between. Could I ask others to create a page in Writer with a table covering most of the page. Hit the Enter key twice in each line, then print it. Tables printed with content in them seem to work fine. Re: [libreoffice-users] blood pressure readings template
A template really isn't needed. All you need are: - A title in one of the cells on the first row. For example "My Blood Pressure Readings". - Leave a row space for readability. - On row three, add these column headings starting with column 1: "Date", "Time", "Systolic", "Diastolic", "Pulse", "Notes" - You may want to make the column headings bold for readability. - Start recording the readings in the spreadsheet. Once you have a few readings, you can highlight the range and create a chart that will show you how the blood pressure is varying by day or time, and any other special situation noted in Notes column. Very easy actually. [libreoffice-users] LO data wizzard
I was trying to use mail merge in LO. The documentation (7.1, but I have 7.4) has some errors/omissions. - Step 6. The text says to click Finish once the connection is tested. Actually, you need to select the correct sheet prior to Finish. Sometimes there will be more than one sheet with addresses. - Step 10. "Click Finish. The data source is now registered." I get an error that says the file already exists - overwrite it? Clicking Help gets another error saying the page does not exist. So, what do I do here??? [libreoffice-users] Frame auto-resize image
How does on place a frame in a Writer document so that the image is automatically resized to fit the size of the frame? The most important dimension is width, so the height can be sacrificed to keep the W/H ratio. I know how to resize the frame for the image, but the application has a fixed location, thus size. [libreoffice-users] Connect to .accdb files
I read that LO Base can open the Access 2007/2010 files. The instructions say to select the Access 2007 connection. Well, there are no Access connections. Only JDBC, Thunderbird, spreadsheet, dBase, Firebird, Text, MySQL, ODBC, PostgreSQL, and Writer. Any ideas? [libreoffice-users] Smart pdf forms with calculations
Has anyone tried to use LO to create a smart form that does calculations? I'm thinking of an order form that calculates sales tax based on the location and shipping cost based on the destination. Some areas have no sales tax, others a little, etc. Thanks, Dave Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
