Re: [libreoffice-users] Bullets Numbering
Thank you Kevin, Alex, Tom Steve for responding. Your suggestion works for the simple case just fine. I suppose now I have a different yet very related question. The document is more complex and I can't get it to work right. Kevin, your articles are helpful, though I admit I skipped the first one. For example: 1. Level One a. Level Two b. c. d. e. f. g. i. Level Three ii. h. i. j. k. 2. 3. 4. a. b. 5. etc. I've tried various things, none of them will give me the above structure. It refuses to number item 1h (or anything thereafter) properly. Kevin, I read your article 2 and 3 which are very informative. But I'm still unable to get it to behave. It will do a variety of (mostly bizarre) things. At various points it made the h an a, if I restart numbering, a b, if I continue the previous numbering an o for some reason, a bullet when I hit enter after g.ii., and absolutely nothing at one point. Clearly I'm doing something wrong, but I'm at a loss as to determine what it is. Thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions. Re: [libreoffice-users] Bullets / Numbering in LO --- SOLVED!
All, I wish to say a sincere thank you to all who contributed suggestions to solving my dilemma. The below-quoted suggestion of Miroslaw Zalewski is the one that turned the trick for me. I went through all the others; some things were already as suggested, but when I implemented this one, the annoying problem 'went away'... Mirosław, thank you, your firs sited set of instructions sounds very promising I'll let you know of any success. --- Could not make myself wait until tomorrow - the suggestion of Tools | Auto Correct Options, etc., was just what was called for. Thank you so much, all who contributed. Thankfully, my blood pressure has subsided I'm going to soon have a 'digital copy' of the latest edition of the Constitution By-Laws of the Grand Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It's sort of one of the Rule Books that constituent Lodges of the Odd Fellow Fraternal Order must abide by - in this case, here in Massachusetts. As Secretary of my Lodge, I'm often the first person a member of my Lodge goes to to get a clearer idea of procedures protocol, etc... Thank you again. [libreoffice-users] Bullets / Numbering in LO
HI!, I am using LibreOffice 3.4.5 and am trying to manually copy a set of Constitution By-Laws of a Fraternal group I'm a Secretary in. For today, at least, I've had to give up on it --- no matter what I do, I cannot type in the text as I want it. Somewhere in the program, Bullets Numbering is turned on by default no matter what I do, I can not turn that feature [anti-feature, really!]' off. The net result is that no matter what I do, for making a copy of this document, LibreOffice seems to worse than useless I really hope that someone can be of assistance with this. I would really like to be able to permanently and irrevocably disable the bullets Numbers as it is by far the greatest annoyance in this program, and definitely not needed at all, especially when one can not have in operate the way you want it to, but only the way someone else wants.
