Hi Mekki or anybody at user,
Did you ever got your installing problem solved for
kannel.
I get exact the same error message as you did, when
i execute:
rpm -ivh
kannel-latest-version.i386.rpm
libcrypto.so.0.9.6 is neededlibssl.so.0.9.6 is needed
When i do:
rpm -q openssl
i get:
?
off, but i find it such a same to run in all kinds of
limitations because of it.

it from scratch - this
worked fine for me (SUSE 7.3 and 8.0). Dont forget
to download the latest
version of libxml and compile it before you compile
kannel.
