I have all these four items installed,but still get the dependency
errors.
I also tried reinstalling redhat 7.3, incase something got missed,
but still get dependency errors.
Anybody else got any clues.

you should probably install
rpm -ivh

You need to install the openssl-devel package. also - make sure that you
have the latest 0.9.6 version - 'g' I think: there were a lot of security
fixes beween that and the 'c' version which

I have tried to find a latter version of this libraries, but
cannot find
(except on www.openssl.org but these are source files
By the way, there is a security bug (buffer overflow) in the openssl please
install its new update:
for redhat 7.1 i386 its name is:
openssl-0.9.6-13.i386.rpm
openssl-devel-0.9.6-13.i386.rpm

did you install openssl from rpm? install openssl-devel as well. i had the
same difficulties, installed openssl-devel and then compiled the kannel
source code instead of relying on the rpm (as there are bugfixes that i
wanted in the daily cvs snapshot).
