SMPP Interface: There is an "smppbox" underway with an unknown date of release.
At Chimit, we meanwhile developed a snap-in, that works as follows:

<smpp client> --- <internet> -- <smpp daemon snap-in> -- <kannel>.

One can connect to the snap-in using normal sms-user credentials which are being forwarded to Kannel's http interface.
It is written in C++. It is not released as open-source because basically the upcoming SMPP Box will (probably) provide more functionality/flexibility. Just be patient in this case.

Subject: SMPP Inteface for third parties

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody knows if an SMPP interface for third parties to connect to is in Kannel's product roadmap? If not, are there any smpp modules out there that can be easily integrated with Kannel?

Also, does anybody know if Kannel supports throttling of mobile terminated messages to protect the SMSC from being flooded with messages.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Luan
