Hi,
I need to store in an audit database information regarding messages that
were sent successfully, and ones that are queued. I need this because I
need to perform some reporting on the results - for example, report that
counts the number of queued messages that were sent to a certain user
Hi,
I was trying to start the kannel using dlr-storage=mysql, but the it
fails. The logs in the wapbox.log say:
2007-11-09 07:21:48 [2652] [0] INFO: Starting to log to file
/usr/local/kannel/log/wapbox.log level -1

wapbox.log doesn't help, in order to understand the problem we need the
output from bearerbox.

Be sure that bearerbox is up and running before starting any other box.

well in case with queued you mean accepted by the SMSC and still not
delivered to the recipient,
you may just use DLR reporting data inserted into db
each SMS should be sent with unique dlr smsid and proper value of the
expiration timeout.
from here you will deal with the sql queries i belive.
Hi,
I'm trying to use a GSM phone Nokia 6260 to send SMS with kannel.
Starting bearerbox, I receive this output, but I do not understand the
error:
---
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/kannel# bearerbox -v 0 /etc/kannel/kannel.conf
2007-11-09 15:40:55 [19130] [0] INFO: Debug_lvl = 0,
You need to change the init sequence, obviously your phone does not support
AT+CNMI=1,2,0,1,0
Each phone model has its caveats with that init string, you should check
your phone's docs and change the string accordingly.
Maybe someone else has experience with some similar Nokia device?
Hope it
You were right, thanks a lot!
Here it is:
---
group = modems
id = 6260
name = 6260
detect-string = Nokia
detect-string2 = 6260
need-sleep = true
init-string = AT+CNMI=2,1,0,0,0
message-storage = SM
---
I don't understand how receive and where, the incoming messages.
Thanks again.

we are curreently doing a project on kannel with my partner, and we would like

Is there a way to (programmatically) tell whether a modem smsc is
successfully communicating with its modem? e.g., a way to run
smsbox, or a function in gwlib? I would like to have a script detect
whether the smsc is having problems (can't open port, doesn't detect
modem type, having
parse the log :)
OR first emulate the smsc with kermit executing AT commands
according to your kannel modem config.
but real time parsing of the log would be the simple and working solution.
