Re: SuSE Linux 10.1 compile cvs ?

2006-07-21 Thread Mihai Zsigmond

Hi Mark,
You know that Stipeis right.
But, for your convenience, here's one step
howtofor solving missing dependences when installing any product from rpm
or for retrieving missing libraries in general.
1. Use the search utility at www.rpmfind.net to find out which rpm contains
your missing library, download it from the same link for your OS et voila

Hope it helps.

If you don't have a direct network link to an SMSC, the performance has
nothing to do with Kannel. We use Kannel on a single server for about 1k
messages per second, and the CPU usage is reasonable for the hardware
it's running on.

Apparently you have a very slow link and the overall performance will
depend on it, more than Kannel's performance. I guess you can reach up
to 3 SMS/sec, roughly.

Wap Push and Windows mobile

2006-07-21 Thread Kyriacos Sakkas

Hi all,
I'd like your input on the following. I have been reading that WM
handsets will not accept wap pushes, and more specificly PPC devices do
not have a way of handling it and so discard them bu WM smartfones will
accept them.
In my trials and from feedback from owners of such devices something
comes up that seems not to match the above, as mined from the internet.
What I have is that when sending a wap push (via kannel ppg (various
providers), but also via HSL web interface) to an imate kjam phone, the
lights come one but the message is never displayed anywhere,
corroborating the fact that the phone receives the message and then
discards it. But when a wap push is send to an imate jasjar it is
handled ok. This two phones are supposed to have the same operating
system. if nothing else the jasjar is more of a PPC device.

Any comments or suggestions welcome,

Kyriacos

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a SMSC thru kannel to send and

matching delivery reports to their corresponding outgoing message

2006-07-21 Thread Patrick Okui
Hi all,

I'd like to be able to figure out which message a particular
delivery report belongs to. The dates on the report are helpful,
but I'd like to be able to match based on the ts since that's
more definite.

Currently I'm thinking of modifying gw/bb_alog.c to store the id
that the SMSC gives after submit_sm (and the script in my
dlr-url can strip it from the delivery report).

Any cleaner ways to do this?

RE: matching delivery reports to their corresponding outgoing message

2006-07-21 Thread Rene Kluwen
The usual way of solving this problem is giving every message that you
sent out a unique ID (e.g. the autoincrement field of the table that you
store your messages in will do nicely).
You can pass this ID as a parameter of your dlr-url.

This is a clean, proven method that is independant of the underlying sms
bearer.
