RE: Long messages problem
Try adding max-messages = 10 to sendsms-user group. -Original Message- From: Merge [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 14 May 2007 12:43 To: users@kannel.org Subject: Long messages problem I'am having problem with sending long messages to SMSC. First part is sent immidiately and the rest goes to kannel.store. When I restart kannel then the rest of the message is sent to SMSC. Now I tweeked this in a way that I split message in my aplication and send second part of the message from aplication with one second delay after first part. Queue Management With Kannel ?
Hi all .. I am working on an SMS application . Which is due to send large no. of message to multiple smsc ports. Some message among them will be having priority specified t them e.g. urgent . as kannel manges the message traffic itself, is there any possibility of managing the message queue destined to the SMSC.? so that urgent messages can be sent as fast as possible . 7-Bit Packed Message
Hi List, I am trying to send outbound messages using SMPP. When I send the text 'test' the phone gets 'tJM#' I am using the following string: http://ip:13013/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=user http://ip:13013/cgi-bin/sendsms?username=userpassword=passto=numbertofro m=numberfromtext=test password=passto=numbertofrom=numberfromtext=test When I use NowSMS and force it to send 7-Bit Packed messages they come into the phone ok. Is there a way I can force Kannel to so the same? Any help would be appreciated. Best regards, Al.

Commercial Support
Hi, I am looking to get some commercial support for a few issues I am having with kannel that I need to get sorted. If anyone is interested please drop me a line. Stipe, I saw in another post that you do also do commercial support. If you still do, please drop me a line. Thanks! Al.

WOW you are difficult to work with! Try this, I think it is your best bet. http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-mini/Linux-Modem-Sharing.html Google is your friend! RE: Queue Management With Kannel ?prioritising MTs
There is no priority like queuing within Kannel. This could be a ligitimate development request, SMPP does have a priority flag also!, What about the other protocols? Could the outgoing_sms List be a priority inserted list? What would be the overhead etc, etc. (cross post to devel, for development discussion...) HTTP Based SMSC
Hi, My telco has migrate their SMSC connection from SMPP to HTTP. I have read Kannel's documentation and it said that it support the HTTP. What I still confuse is that, the documentation said that it only kannel, brunet, xidris, wapme, clickatell and generic supported. I assume my telco belongs to the generic one. And it is written in the documentation that for generic type is for MT only. And for the MO we expect the remote HTTP caller (which is my telco right?) to use Kannel's sendsms API. AFAIK sendsms API is used to send SMS not to receive MO traffic. Or this sendsms API reffers to the other sendsms? Or I am missunderstanding about this HTTP Based SMSC? Need explanation and help. Thanks for any replies. Regards Willy
