validity of sms

2014-04-02 Thread [Digital^Dude] ®
Hi,

I just need to confirm if setting validityperiod to X minutes would send me
the DLR in any case (success or failure) within X minutes max. ?

Does it work like this? If not, please elaborate on its expected operation.

Thanks.

2014-04-02 Thread dorin

I would appreciate any help or maybe some ideas.
Or my problem is unsolvable?

Hello all!
I want to configure SMS validity under sqlbox. As I read in documentation
I must set parameter validity with desired minutes.
in my case I have validity = 5
but on the SMSC arives 1032139564 minutes insted of 5.

what I missed?

p.s. SMSC support told me the same time zone as my server.

It is absolute time in UTC, IIRC.
Read the specification about SMPP and Kannel documentation.

hello.

check user-guide, there is a column called validity, you can specify in
minutes how much time MT should be valid for.

most likely you've got time out of sync with your SMPP provider, contact
them and try to resolve this.

it works fine.

Re: Need SQLBox to bypass MO

2014-04-02 Thread Willy Mularto
Hi Rene,
Thanks, I am thinking another approach. Why not for MO just bearerbox-smsbox
and MT bearerbox-sqlbox? But still confusing how to manage the configuration,
especially port mapping.

MT messages go via the first smsbox.

Thanks Rene, it works. As my understanding the SQLBox still process MO but
not to save it to the DB. How about to make Kannel directly send all MO to
SMSBox, rather then transit first to SQLBox? So the final goal is SQLBox
 only process MT. Thanks.

 Hi Rene,
Thanks for the tips, is it a new directive? Because I can not find it
in the user guide. Where to put the directive? Thanks.

proceed by SQLBox and just past it from Bearerbox to SMSBox. Thanks.
