You do not need to do anything fancy at all with a Fedora USB install media.  Fedora comes with both UEFI and legacy boot mechanisms, so it just works on all machines.  Instead, you have a BIOS setting problem, that is preventing you from seeing the USB key.  Fix that, and everything should
