Has anyone succeeded in installing that latest version of SKYPE in
FC20? It was nice to have it working for a while, but MicroSoft seems
to have done a good job of breaking things.

Yes that is the version I am referring to, but when I execute it, the
heading still reads version 4.2 and when I try to login, the connection
is refused.
Did you have to remove the previous version, if so, what process did you
use to do that?

If you're downloading from a third party repository, try downloading
from the microsoft website, and install. It comes as .rpm, so you can
simply use yum! I can confirm that the website version works like a
charm.
