time, my system says enough and shuts them off. And they don't quit

and boot Linux. Compress the Windows partition into
a small file.
3) Modify Linux start-up to do a mkswap on the partition during startup
and to restore the windows partition during shutdown (not hibernation).
Let the confusion reign.
