I try to use virtio under KVM for the disks of my VMs.
However, when I start my VM and I look at the kvm command line executed
by opennebula I see:

The disk id is drive-virtio-disk0, so this

Right, although the ACL gives permission to perform the operation, the
sunstone web interface does not change automatically. To enable new tabs in
Sunstone 3.8, follow this guide [1].
Is there any reason you are not using the last stable release, 4.0.1 ?

Ubuntu packages should work also with 12.04. Ubuntu 13 was still not
tested but should also work.
To install the packages you can follow the installation guide [1]. The
packages to install in the frontend to have all services are:

Since 12.10 is not an LTS version, I and only has an 18mo support cycle, I
would think that the software would be built to the LTS version instead.
I am using the 12.10 version on 12.04 with no issues. I hope moving forward
supported versions are built with LTS in mind instead.
