I think I found the issue - the disk is not attaching as SCSI - because there
are no SCSI devices defined for use

image it now captures the right size - bug report maybe? I'll find out tomorrow

Looking around, I think its related to the fact that I am using Ubuntu 12.04
and the default version of ruby is 1.8.7 which was fine for 4.0.1, but 4.2 and
rbvmomi require =1.9.2
