Hi
Scenario : Created a Windows XP Virtual Machine using Vmware Workstation (
Hardware version 8) and uploaded the VMDK to opennebula through Sunstone
interface.
Error Message : After completing the upload the status become ERROR with
the error message as
MESSAGE=Error copying image
Hello,
Did you check the permission on var/lib/one ?
It has to be oneadmin:oneadmin (or the user and group you defined for
opennebula), moreover check that libvirt is part of the same group
Cheers

Problem got resolved with following actions
1. Rename vmname.vmdk as disk.vmdk
2. Tar all the vmdk files to a single file ( tar cvf vmname.tar *.vmdk)
3. Compress using bzip ( bzip2 –z vmname.tar )
4. Upload the image to One server
