Dear all,
i already searched the documentation and the mailing list, but did not come up
with an answer.
I would like to know how to backup virtual machines in OpenNebula WITHOUT
shutting the down, or if there is a solution at all.
We have an existing backup system that should be reused,

Hello Yuchang,
Have you set up ROOT_PUBKEY or ROOT_PASSWORD in the CONTEXT of the Virtual
Router VMs' template, as stated in the Virtual Router documentation [1] in
Configuration section?

Good Will,

Sorry,I didn't setup ROOT_PUBKEY,because I tried to run this router without
opennebula environment.
So I should try this Router under opennebula next time.
thank you .

There are many solutions; apart from using kvm snapshots (and later image
rebuild to have a single clone) we prefer the use of a filesystem that allows
for atomic snapshots (like BTRFS) or
a distributed filesystem with the same properties (like Ceph). You snapshot the
entire datastore or the
Dear Community,
I was trying to use the LVM datastore driver [1] and followed the docs
to set it up.
I have found a bug in the docs. oneadmin needs password-less sudo
permissions for:
* lvremove
* lvcreate
* lvs
* dd
* *vgdisplay*
vgdisplay(8) is used to monitor [2] the datastore.
Hi,
Ok, now that we know that you are using the dynamic network node let's
see if everything is in place.
Could you please check that a port group one-pg-vnid is created in
the ESX's vSwitch0, where vnid is the id of the virtual network that
uses vSwitch0 as a bridge.
If that port group is
Hi,
Ok, it seems that the OCCI server is working. The problem that you
refer is that you cannot create VMs through the OCCI server, am I
right?
In that case, I would need to know the output of
$ occi-compute create vm.tmpl
the above is the preferred way to create VMs through OCCI, instead of
Hello guys,
I'm facing a strange behaviour on my Ubuntu VMs, running on KVM.
They are endlessly pausing, I resume them, and they're pausing again.
Where do I have to look to understand this ? I read some forum threads
about disk space security on libvirt.
Thanks in advance
CyD
Hi Cyrille,
yeah, this is usually related to disk-space. What does 'df' say?
cheers,
Jaime

Hello Jaime,
df isn't saying anything since the VM is just pausing.
When making a df in the datastores, i get a disk of 60G, but quite
normal since I allocated a disk of 60G to the VM...

Although my attempt at configuration of ONE 4.2 on openSUSE 12.3 still does not

Hi Mike
Thank you very much for sharing, great doc!
Could we get more details about still does not work for me (VMs don't

Thanks

Hi Mark
It seems that your domain is trying to boot from /vmlinuz that cannot be
found in the host. This primitive is not in your original template as shown
in the template of VM 13 (there is no OSKERNEL).
So this is most probably coming from the driver configuration file. Could
you check (and
