I did have the same problem, and i modified the pom of the project :
'archiva-repository-layer' :
I add the dependency :
dependency
groupIdorg.codehaus.plexus/groupId
artifactIdplexus-utils/artifactId
/dependency
And i modified the version of the dependency :
dependency
(PlexusObjectFactory.java:249)
