It is possible to syncing our repository, to the central repository, also if
the repository is hosted at domain different from groupId. The hosting
domain is in any case our own.

Le me explain:
the group id is net.sourceforge.foo, the artifactId is foo-api
the package reflect groupId: net.sourceforge.foo
but our repository is hosted at dev.foo.com.
I'm not aware of any restriction in place that would prevent you from doing so.
