Open office won't work

Hi, I noticed I had an update reminder for OpenOffice on my MAC (Monterey 12.4) I have always used OpenOffice with no issues. I did the update and now it won’t open because it says it can’t be verified to be free of malware. Can someone please help? Thanks, Rick Johnson

Until recently I was able to open multiple documents and edit them just by clicking on them. Now I am given the choice to open documents in read only or open copy to edit. In the latter I can only open one document at a time. How do I return to the original setting and open multiple documents

I'm telling you guys are doing a good job in the right thing but no more plugins start working on the base feature and its modules text formatting definitely needs improvement because some fonts don't display properly or adjust with print option or other changes! /fun ticket secondly you guys
